I picked up some nice overstock pallets. The truckload was only four pallets. The merchandise came from Kohl's Department Store's Liquidation inventory. The pallets were closeouts from the kitchen department. I paid only two thousand two hundred dollars for the wholesale lot of Kohl's Closeouts. The quality of the items was excellent. Kitchen Aid, Cuisinart, Bunn Coffee Makers and Heinkels Cutlery. I sold the liquidation pallets to four different customers. The total for all sales was five thousand eight hundred dollars. Three days to sell everything. Only about six hours work. Kohl's Liquidation closeouts were good to me!!

I recently bought a closeout liquidation truckload. The truckload of liquidation merchandise had eight pallets. The type of closeout items was consumer electronics. The liquidation consumer electronics was from Sears excess inventory. The pallets of surplus electronics had eight plasma televisions, six play station 3's, ten lap top computers, and a lot of other electronics. I paid ten thousand five hundred dollars for the wholesale closeout electronics truckload from Sears overstock. I sold the electronics in wholesale lots. Eight different customers bought the wholesale lots of electronics. The total for all the sales was fourteen thousand dollars. I paid a friend of mine four hundred dollars to unload the merchandise and make the wholesale lots. I sold all the wholesale electronics in four days. I made a three thousand dollar profit in less than a week.

Surplus Consumer electronics from Costco and Best Buy. This truckload of consumer electronics had fourteen pallets. The pallets of surplus electronics were customer returns. The wholesale costs of the surplus consumer electronics was thirty one thousand two hundred dollars. I paid eighteen percent of the wholesale cost for the surplus consumer electronics. The quality of the electronics pallets in this truckload was about 30% working. This percent is a little low but I still made a profit on the pallets of electronics from Best Buy and Costco. I sold the pallets to three different customers. The total sales for the truckload of electronics was thirteen thousand siix hundred dollars. Seven days I finished the truckload of consumer electronics. The customers all paid cash. No credit had to be extended. I nearly doubled my investment on the truckload of consumer electronics from Best Buy and Costco.

A Closeout truckload I purchased was a mixture of K-Mart and Macy's liquidation merchandise. I had 10 pallets of womans shoes from Macy's. The ten pallets of macy's surplus liquidation inventory footwear were closeouts. I paid $12,500 for the ten pallets of footwear from macy's. I sold the pallets to four different customers. They paid $2,400 per pallet.This was a good investment for me . I sold the ten pallets in twelve days. The other 12 pallets on this truckload were tools from K-mart surplus liquidation inventory. The twelve pallets of tools were a mixture of craftsman hand tools and power tools including many sets of cordless 19.2 volt rechargeable drills, saws and chargers. The twelve pallets cost$13,500. These were discontinued inventory. New in condition I sold the pallets of tools for $1,900 each. The total was $22,800.. I sold all the pallets of craftsman tools in seven days.I saved on shipping by combining the two different types of merchandise on a single truckload.

The last seven days i have been selling seven pallets of health and beuty aids from Rite Aid's liquidation inventory. The surplus overstocks pallets had a good variety of name brand cosmetics and skin care products. Their were two pallets of Revlon and Sasson hair straightening Irons and blow dryers. Three pallets of Cover Girl Cosmetics. Two pallets of skin care products. I paid six thousand five hundred for the seven pallets of overstock health and beauty aids from Rite Aid. I have one customer that has a wholesale beauty supply business. She bought all of the hair irons and blow dryers for $4,200. Two flea market vendors bought the skin care pallets. They each paid one thousand eight hundred dollars. Three customers purchased the Cover Girl cosmetics pallets. I sold the Cover Girl Cosmeticss pallets for two thousand five hundred dollars each.

It tells quantity,cost and item number.Evaluating the truckload before you buy with the manifests. When the truckload of liquidation arrives use the manifests for inventory and a price guide. The manifests are easy to read.sometimes they can be long3000 - 5000 items can be listed. If you have a large manifest take your time to study before you buy.

One tool that is a necessity when purchasing pallets or truckloads of surplus and salvage is a manifests. Manifests can be used for many things. Before you buy a truckload of salvage use the manifests to analyze the inventory. The manifests has each item that is in the salvage truckload listed. The quantity and the wholesale costs are listed in separate columns. If you decide to purchase the salvage truckload use the manifest for inventory and a price guideline. Some truckloads have 2,000 -3,000 different items . It is nearly impossible to know the costs of every item . You can separate the more valuable merchandise using the manifest as your guide. If you are not familiar with reading and understanding manifests spend a few minutes each day reading different manifests. Success in the salvage business can not be obtained without this skill set(competency in reading and evaluating manifests).

I have learned a lot in the eight years I have in the salvage and liquidation business. When I started out I purchased one or two pallets of macy's closeouts. It was about after 18 months before I purchased my first truckload. I was so nervous. I borrowed $5,000 from my parents. The cost of that first truckload of surplus merchandise was $12,000. The truckload contained 38 pallets. It was a target general merchandise load. After I made the wire transfer were the longeswst four days of my life. I had never borrowed a dollar from my parents. I kept thinking what if something happens to the truckload. When the truckload of target general merchandise arrived I was sooo happy. I sold all the pallets in four days and made $8,000 profit. I thought that was a lot of money. I was able to pay back my parents and bought them a weekend trip to Vegas

The close-out distribution of electronics from target and Wal-mart. This is a very profitable two weeks. I have purcxhased A truckload of 37 pallets of electronics from Target. This truckload of closeout electronics is exc3eptional. Over 50 Palsma and lcd high definition units. Ranging in size from 25" to 42". More than 300 mp3 and mp4 players. The majority of them are discotinued models. Than their 10 paqllets of car audio. . 200 plus car stereos(sony,pioneer and panasonic to name a few)and many sets of speakers. The wal-mart truckload of electronics closeouts is not as large. The truckload consists of 22 pallets of closeout electronics. Their are 3 pallets of digital cameras. Some 7 megapixel . The majority are 5 and 6 megapixel. This truckload had 11 pallets of car stereos.The other pallets were home stereos and televison sets. I paid 12,000 Usd for the walmart truckload of close=out electronics. I sold all but the digital cameras for 22,000 usd. All most doubbling my money in 3 days. I stiil have the pallets of closeout digitral cameras. For the target truckload of electronics I paid 18,000. I broke up the pallets . I sold the last of the electronics of the target truckload today. When I titaled the invoices for the Target truckload it was 38,000 USD. It has been a very profitable Janurary. If their is a recession I like it. Give me this kind of easy money every month.

These are people that sell at flea markets, swap meets, Ebay ,yard sales or own a retail estabilshment. The most common merchandise I deal in is closeout liquidation merchandise from retailers. I purchase from Macy's , Target , Sears K-mart and Kohl's. Generally I am a wholesale distributor of general merchandise from department stores.
